    Batterers Intervention Group Facilitator

    The Latino Community Development Agency (LCDA) is actively looking for hard working, creative, and dedicated individuals to join our agency and become integral parts of their team. This position will provide direct services to adult male participants who have had situations related to domestic violence cases. The Aggressor Intervention Program Coordinator conducts an initial interview with the client, where the Domestic Violence Inventory (DVI) assessment is carried out. The results obtained are evaluated to see if the participant meets the requirements needed to participate in the program. The facilitator is responsible for teaching the class following the Duluth Model curriculum and general program rules, as established by the Attorney General of the state of OK. The facilitator prepares class materials, takes attendance, makes progress notes of each participant, observes and / or asks for changes that occur weekly in the family nucleus of each participant, maintaining direct and open communication with the program coordinator so can report any developments that occur during the class period. Training for this position will be offered by the Office of the Attorney General.

    Position Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or criminal justice-related field
    • (1) year related work experience
    • Spanish/English bilingual proficiency

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Conducts client intakes, screenings, and assessments
    • Prepares and facilitates class for batterer's intervention group
    • Writes service notes after each session
    • Prepares and submits written reports to courts, DHS, attorneys, and to other agencies, as needed
    • Makes effort to contact and inform the victim about batterer's participation in the program
    • Makes appropriate referrals to substance abuse, counseling, anger management, and more as needed
    • Maintains and updates client records according to title 75 standards
    • Collaborates with local domestic violence and sexual assault programs, in regard to victim safety

    Schedule:

    • Monday through Friday.  Varied, May Include Evenings and Weekends

    COVID-19 considerations:
    All employees are required to wear a mask while
    in the building except for when in a single office space.
