    Job Description
    Do you love the Oklahoma City Thunder? Do you enjoy hosting and organizing events both large and small? Bring your enthusiasm for event planning and your outgoing personality to the Oklahoma City Thunder for the 2019-2020 season. We are seeking high-energy and dedicated teammates to help us put on the show. You will be a member of a motivated team of high energy people, working behind the scenes to bring every event to life!
    If you have the dream to work in professional sports, event planning or marketing, this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience. As a member of the Events Crew, you can be part of the action, working with the Crew during game nights as well as a wide variety of events throughout our community. We work hard and we love to watch our work come together with events that make our fans go wild and bring happiness to members of our community.


    Essential duties and responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with fellow members of the Events & Entertainment department to carry out game night duties including but not limited to the set up and break down of concourse entertainment, distribution of game night programs and give-away items, and enthusiastically greeting fans
    • Engage with fans at interactive stations at the OU Medical Kid’s Zone and Thunder Alley
    • Interact comfortably with fans of all ages, infant to senior, and people from all social or cultural demographics
    • Work game nights as well as additional special events for Holiday Assist, court dedications, pre-season activations, season ticket member appreciation parties and other events as needed
    • Maintain good attendance and punctuality
    • Other duties as assigned


    Qualifications and requirements:

    • Minimum age requirement, 18 years
    • Motivated self-starter with the ability to accomplish goals with little supervision
    • Schedule flexibility and willing to work the majority of home games during the season and maintain a schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays
    • Excellent attention to detail and listening skills
    • Basketball knowledge and interest is a plus
    • Reliable and conscientious team member who can support fellow members to accomplish event goals on time and with a positive outlook
    • Ability to simultaneously handle numerous tasks and perform under tight time schedules
    • Shift length will vary and may include up to 10 hours in a day but will not exceed 30 hours per week
    • Primary work location will be Chesapeake Energy Arena located in downtown Oklahoma City with other events at locations around the community
    • Physical requirements of the job include bending, walking, standing or climbing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 50 lbs
    • Work may take place at both indoor and outdoor venues in a range of temperatures
    • Game nights will include loud music and crowd noise and the presence of flashing or strobe lighting
    • Bilingual in Spanish and English is beneficial
    Events Crew is a part-time, seasonal position reporting to the Event Presentation Coordinator.
