    Are you a college student hoping to launch your career in creative design? As the Intern, Graphic Design for the Oklahoma City Thunder, you will use and enhance the skills you’ve learned in pursuit of your major as you assist with producing a wide variety of graphic design requests. This internship provides an ideal training environment for a career in design or professional sports marketing!   The Thunder’s in-house graphic design and marketing department serves as an internal agency to support company-wide marketing strategy. As a department we support all cross-departmental needs for artwork and design, using core brands and visual themes established for the company.
    Our internship program provides practical work experience in a dynamic and fun environment as well as supplemental program activities designed to enrich your learning experience.  This 8-week internship begins June 8, 2020.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Design and production on team-related projects including publications, ads, brochures, direct mail, posters, specialty advertising, invitations, outdoor campaigns, website graphics, etc.
    • Take part in multiple rounds of editing on any given project
    • Assist with maintaining and establishing design department policies
    • Participate in company-scheduled internship activities, lunch-and-learns and other intern program events
    • Maintain good attendance and punctuality
    • Other duties as assigned
    Qualifications and Requirements:
    • Presently enrolled at an accredited college or university with junior or senior standing and approved by your school to receive internship credit
    • Students pursuing a degree in graphic design/fine art are preferred
    • Internship requires a minimum of 12 hours per week and will not exceed 30 per week
    • Possess an understanding of various printing methods and the steps by which digital artwork becomes a printed page
    • Experience using Creative Suite on the Macintosh platform working primarily in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
    • Strong attention to detail and a calm and organized approach to deadlines
    • Capable of working on multiple design projects at a given time
    • Strong customer service orientation allowing you to keep a professional and positive outlook toward teammates and vendors
    • Enthusiastic and successful at working in a team environment
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
    • Primary work location will be the Thunder corporate office located in downtown Oklahoma City
    This paid internship is a part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer.
